Barakamon: 01.04.2026 - 16:18 I never thought a manga about calligraphy would be so interesting! Granted, the calligraphy was actually a very small part of the manga. The focus of the manga was very much on growth and coming-of-age, with a poignant reminder from Nasu and the rest of the children to not forget how to be a child even when taking on the adult world. I feel like uniquely, it took quite a different approach from most coming-of age stories, focusing more on youth to adult rather than teen to young adult.

Nobunaga's Chef (Chef no Nobunaga): 01.10.2025 - 16:18 So I just reread this niche historical manga again, definitely one of my top 10. It's one of the best historical and isekai manga I've read in ages, while the role of cuisine and culinary diplomacy is slightly exaggerated, it intergrates history and realism into its story very remarkably. Highly recommend, although not to be read on an empty stomach!
